Students will be introduced to various equipment and procedures in the Collision Repair Shop. Students will be taught the basic skills in repair procedures,hand and power tools,vehicle identification and safe ways of vehicle lifting. Students will be taught the necessary safety equipment they will need to use in the shop. Students will take part in an OSHA training safety course earning their OSHA-10 certification if they achieve a passing score. Students will be working on a portfolio that they will keep adding to throughout their years in the shop.

Hand and Power Tools | Jan-Feb | Students will be introduced to the many tools and equipment used in the Collision Repair Industry. Students will demonstrate the safe use of floor jacks,jack stands and vehicle lifts. Students will be able to identify various hand and power tools used in the shop. |
Shop Equipment | March | Students will be introduced to the frame straightening machine,the paint booth and welding equipment and be shown the safe and proper way to use these types of equipment. |
Vehicle Detailing | April/ May | Students will be shown the various types of auto detailing,from washing and waxing and interior detailing to sanding and buffing procedures to remove contaminants from vehicle surfaces. |
Year in Review /Shop Clean up | June | Students will review the lessons that they have been taught throughout the year and participate in shop clean-up for the end of the year. |
